- GetDate
- ===============================
-
-
- Purpose:
-
- This program was written to handle the problem with not having
- a built-in battery backed clock in the "AMIGA 1000" or "AMIGA 500".
- It allows for a means of setting the date and time from the
- Startup-Sequence.
-
-
- Outcome:
-
- The program will allow the user to set the date and time from the
- Startup-Sequence. This program will handle dates well into the
- next century.
-
-
- Setup:
-
- All you need to do is to copy the "getdate" program into the "C"
- directory of your workbench disk. The first time you run the
- program, "getdate", will give you a system default for the date
- and time. After the first time "getdate" is run the default for
- the date and time will be the last time the user set the date
- and time. This is done with a very small file in the "S" directory.
- If this file is in the "S" directory getdate will use it, if not
- the system default will be used.
-
- From the "Startup-Sequence" all you need to do is enter the command
- "getdate" close to the top of the your startup-sequence.
